A car mowed through a garden fence at a home on the corner of Albert Road, Ashford, on Thursday.
Debris was strewn over the lawn of the detached home.
Police received the call at 8.40am.
The driver of the car, a blue Suzuki Swift, was unharmed, but police spokesman Rosy Alexander said he was a bit dazed.
“There was damage to a three foot high hedge and it has destroyed about 10ft of fencing.
“The gas board will be attending to repair a gas main marker which was snapped in the collision,” she added.
