A workshop with some five cars inside has gone up in flames near Ashford this morning.

Fire crews were called to the blaze on Smarden Business Estate just after 6am.

They dealt with the fire, which is believed to have started accidentally, by 7:38am.

A spokesperson said firefighters "have made good progress and have the blaze under control".

There are no reported injuries and the cause of the fire isn't known at this stage.
