Two lanes of the M20 were blocked when a caravan overturned today.

The accident happened on the London-bound carriageway, between J9 for Ashford and J8 for Maidstone, at about midday.

It forced police to place a temporary 50mph speed limit on that stretch of road.

Kent Highways warned drivers to approach the scene with caution.

The caravan, which was being towed by a silver Kia 4x4, was quickly righted and moved to the hard shoulder.

No one was injured.
