Public consultation on a major development for more than 6,000 homes and 2,000-plus jobs begins in just over a week.
Ashford councillors approved a report of the Cheeseman’s Green and Waterbrook Area Action Plans, triggering an eight-week consultation starting next Monday, June 8.
The report was passed bytheborough council’s executive committee..
The site is classed as a future urban extension to Ashford as the council aims to provide 31,000 new homes and 28,000 new jobs by 2031.
This development would create 6,500 homes beyond 2021 and 2,225 jobs.
Planners are also looking to improve transport links to the new development, including through providing a new M20 Junction 10a nearby.
The scheme additionally includes creating a Cheeseman’s Green Park for the new community.
