Ashford Christian Fellowship (ACF) have held their first service at the Centrepiece Church in the town centre.
The organisation, which was founded in 1980, purchased the Bank Street building for £450,000 from the Methodist and United Reformed Church (URC) on Friday.
The fellowship’s first service, attended by a large proportion of the 300-strong congregation, took place on Sunday.
Pastor David Lamb (pictured above, first left) said: “It’s been a journey that’s been a bit difficult with delays and disappointment which makes the result even sweeter for Bank Street, for us and for the Methodist church.
“We’re so thrilled. The good side of it has been working with the Methodist and URC. There’s been a lot of goodwill through them.”
