One of the most popular acts at the Leas Cliff Hall returns to the venue next year.

Comedian Jimmy Carr brings his new show Rapier Wit and tickets are on sale now.

Holly Osborn, the venue’s marketing manager, said: "Jimmy is one of our most popular acts and sells out within hours every year.

"We’re thrilled that he has decided to return again next year and I’m sure our patrons will be thrilled also." Jimmy said of the title of his show: "A rapier is the long sword of a gentleman. Rapier wit is defined as clever, quick, intelligent humour."
