Ashford succumbed to a four-goal first half blitz as they were thrashed 5-1 at Corinthian Casuals in the Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday.

The Nuts and Botls failed to build on their first league win last weekend and turned in arguably their worst performance of the season.

Steve Lovell's side fell behind to a Jamal Carr header after 15 minutes and Glen Boosey lobbed Darren Ibrahim in the Town goal to make it 2-0 soon after.

A Kane Sargeant free kick and another Carr goal made it 4-0 at the break and despite a disputed header from sub Kevin Swaisland - his first for the club - reducing the arrears 20 minutes from time, the Casuals added a fifth through Catlron Murray-Price.

Folkestone Invicta were replaced at the top of the table by Godalming Town after the Surrey side's 1-0 win at the Buzzlines Stadium on Saturday.

After 80 minutes of tight goalless football, it took a 25-yard free kick from Andy Ottley to break the deadlock.
