A patient at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford has tested positive for coronavirus, the hospital have confirmed.
The patient is being cared for in isolation by specialist teams, and the rest of the hospital remains open.
A spokesperson for the hospital said: "We have been preparing to care for patients with COVID-19 and we are following Public Health England and NHS guidance.
"It is safe to come to our hospitals in Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone and Margate.
"If you are well and have a planned appointment at the hospital, please attend as normal unless we contact you.
"We would like to thank our staff for continuing to work tirelessly to care for our patients."
In order to combat and prevent the spread of infection, the hospital has also implemented visiting restrictions.
In the temporary regulations, families are asked to limit numbers to one family member visiting patients at a time.
The hospital guidance says: "We know that it’s important for our patients to see family and friends but at the current time we are asking, where possible, for one visitor at a time to come to the hospital if they are visiting patients on our wards.
"We appreciate this is not always possible so please speak to a member of staff if this causes inconvenience."
Any visitors are asked to adhere to the infection control measures, which require regular use of hand wash and gel, including as soon as you enter the hospital. and again when you arrive and leave a ward or other clinical area.
