A MAN of 41 and his 29-year-old wife have been charged with serious child abuse following investigations by Kent Police.

Steven Coleman, who is unemployed and from Bredgar Close, Ashford, has been charged with three counts of possession of indecent images/pseudo photography of a child.

He is also accused of three counts of assault/ill treatment/neglect of a child, three counts of rape of a female child, one count of indecent assault on a child and one count of rape of a male child.

He has been bailed to appear before magistrates at Ashford on December 13.

Amelia Christine Coleman, also of Bredgar Close, Ashford, has been charged with three counts of possession of indecent images/pseudo photography of a child and three counts of assault/ill treatment/ neglect of a young person.

She has also been bailed to appear in court at Ashford on December 13.
