A company which offers rapid Covid tests for people looking to travel has opened its second branch in Kent.

DAM Health in Ashford sits opposite the bus stops in Bank Street and welcomed customers for the first time last week.

It joins a store already up and running in London Road, Tunbridge Wells and is one of 45 across the UK.

The site offers private PCR tests, fit-to-fly certificates and lateral flow testing for those looking to go abroad and boasts to have the results back within 24 hours.

Walk-in appointments are available but customers can also book time slots online.

DAM Health is a government-recognised provider and the results are accepted by all airlines but not all countries so customers should check before they travel.

Clinical director at the company, Professor Frank Joseph, said: "The new testing site will support our continued expansion of testing services throughout the country.

"Our Ashford clinic will enable us to serve the local and surrounding areas with the necessary testing requirements to enable travel to continue as we emerge from the pandemic and people start to move about more frequently."
