Part of a motorway is undergoing emergency repairs after huge cracks appeared on the road surface.

Highways England tweeted this picture of the damaged carriageway on the M20.

One lane is closed on the London bound side between junction 11 for Hythe and junction 10 for the A20 at Ashford.

There are slight delays on the but traffic is said to be coping well.

The lane is expected to reopen by 4pm today.
