An accident between two cars is causing delays near a busy shopping centre.

Emergency crews were called at 12.37pm today to the incident on Romney Marsh Road after reports two vehicles had collided.

The incident is causing delays near the Asda Superstore and McArthur Glen Designer Outlet.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance (SECAmb) said one patient was assessed at the scene but has not been taken to hospital.

Stagecoach tweeted a message to passengers saying all local services in Ashford have been affected and are running late.

There have been no other reported injuries and motorists are warned to approach with caution.
