Two lanes of the M20 remain closed following an accident this morning.

Traffic cameras showed emergency crews at the scene of the crash on the coastbound carriageway between Junction 9 for Ashford and Junction 10 for Ashford South.

In one picture at 6am an ambulance could be seen in the outside lane as cars continued to travel in the inside lane.

The two lanes remain closed as emergency repairs are carried out to the central reservation barrier, sparking traffic queues stretching 1.5 miles.

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.

Police have been asked for more information.
