A teenage driver is in hospital with serious injuries after a crash at Romney Marsh last night.
Emergency services were called after a green Ford Ka crashed into a wall at Dymchurch Road, New Romney just after midnight last night.
Three fire engines were on the scene and firefighters from Ashford used hydraulic cutting equipment to cut the roof off the car so the 18-year-old male driver could be released from the car on a spinal board.
Firefighter Justin Venes said: "The driver had multiple injuries which were considered life-threatening at the scene so we had to try and release him as quickly as possible."
He was taken to the William Harvey Hospital. There were also two passengers in the car but the extent of their injuries is not yet known.
