A man has been taken to hospital following a crash which closed part of the M20 early this morning.
It happened on the London-bound carriageway between Junction 9 (Ashford) and Junction 8 (Leeds Castle / Maidstone Services) at around 6am with all traffic being held for a time.
Emergency crews including Kent Police and paramedics attended the scene while traffic officers from National Highway assisted with traffic management.

The collision caused an oil spillage and damage to the central reservation barrier.
A diversion route was initially put in place with drivers told to follow the hollow square symbol on road signs.
Shortly before 8am one lane was re-opened with lanes two and three remaining closed for repair work to be carried out.
The remaining two lanes were opened again at around 9am.
The man’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
