Cup final places will be up for grabs this weekend as Hythe wind up their home campaign.

Manager Scott Porter is eyeing a top-eight finish in Ryman League Division 1 South and doesn’t want to see any let-up in standards ahead of their Kent Senior Cup final at Dartford on Tuesday night.

Before that cup game Porter’s side are at home – for the last time this season – against play-off chasing Worthing on Saturday.

Porter (pictured) said: "My lads have a cup final place to fight for and I won’t be resting anyone. We want to get another win and take that confidence into the cup. It will be a tough game.

"We could finish in the top eight and we’re in the cup final and that’s been a great achievement from the club and the players and it gives us a great platform to build on.

"It’s going to be a great night (on Tuesday) and we deserve to be in the final, after beating Erith Town, Ebbsfleet and Dover along the way.

"Dartford are probably the top non-league side in Kent at the moment. They are on a roll and it will be on their patch as well.

"The difference between budgets, squads and levels are unbelievable. We’ll be going there to pull off a shock and if we are at full potential and a few of them have an off-day then who knows?"
