Rush hour traffic was delayed this morning after a car veered off the motorway and went up a bank.

The accident happened between Junctions 8 and 9 on the coastbound carriageway of the M20 just before 7.50am.

Police believe the black Honda Civic went out of control after a tyre blow-out.

Debris was left on the third lane of the motorway and police created a rolling road block while this was dealt with.

Nobody was injured.
