Drivers faced delays on a main road in Ashford after a Ford Focus burst into flames.

Fire crews raced to the A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road just after 11am.

They found the silver machine alight close to the Ashford Orbital Park industrial estate.

One fire engine was sent to the scene, but crews left just before 11.40am.

Police were called to control traffic and remain at the scene.
