London bound M20 Ashford slow after three-vehicle accident

Drivers on the London bound M20 faced lengthy delays after a three-vehicle accident.

Two cars and a van collided between junctions 9 and 10 at 1.55pm.

The police, fire brigade and ambulance all attended the scene.

Three lanes were merged into one to allow emergency services to work. The road was fully reopened before 4pm.

Police spokesman Andy Saunders said: "There are not believed to any life threatening injuries.

"However, lane closures meant there were delays."
