Traffic was held up after two cars collided.

Pictures show the two damaged cars – a BMW and Ford Focus - on the A28 Ashford Road, Ashford this afternoon.

The collision took place near the entrance to Chilmington Green housing estate, with multiple cars seen queuing behind the incident.

A police car was at the scene and people could be seen controlling the traffic.

A police spokesman said: “This was a collision involving two cars, which was reported at 4.40pm and resulted in a minor injury to one of the drivers.

“Both police and ambulance crews attended.

“Officers left the scene around 6.30pm.”
