Motorists have been advised to take extra time for journeys amid 25-minute delays and a two-mile-long tailback, with the closure stretching from Junction 9-10.

A National Highways spokesman said: “Lanes one and two (of three ) are closed on the M20 westbound between J10 and J9 near Ashford due to flooding following heavy rainfall.

“There are 2 miles of congestion causing 25-minute delays above normal travel time.

“Please allow extra journey time.”
