People are no longer being asked to keep their windows and doors closed after a blaze in a derelict town centre building was extinguished.
Some ten fire engines attended the blaze on East Hill in the Mace Lane area of Ashford in the early hours of this morning.
People around the town centre were initially asked to keep their windows and doors closed due to a large amount of smoke and Mace Lane was closed in both directions as crews attended the incident.
However, by 9am, only two fire engines remain at the scene and Mace Lane has now been reopened in both directions.
