Domino’s, the pizza takeaway chain, have confirmed they will be opening at a vacant supermarket unit in Ashford in August.
We reported earlier this year that retail giant Tesco had applied to Ashford Borough Council for planning permission to change the use of the vacant Unit 1 alongside its Moatfield Meadowstore at Park Farm into a hot food takeaway.
The Park Farm store will be the second Domino’s branch in Ashford. The other is in Somerset Road.
A Tesco spokesman confirmed the chain and supermarket had completed the lease.
Domino’s will fill the unit that previously housed Prim Dry Cleaners, and form part of the Tesco Extra complex. The proposed shop operating hours are from 10am until 2am daily.
Josh Speers, spokesman for Domino’s, said: “The new store will create around 30 jobs for local people.”
