People planning to travel across the Channel on Eurostar from Ashford over the next few days are facing disruption as services are hit by two separate strikes.
Belgian railway workers walked out for 24 hours at 9pm on Monday and passengers may experience further problems from Thursday when French general workers begin industrial action set to last 36 hours.
The second strike in particular is expected to cause disruption to many Britons ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
Brussels Midi station and the rest of the Belgian rail network is closed today. Only one Eurostar service - the 7.34pm from London - will operate between the UK and Brussels and that is on the assumption that the Belgian high-speed line reopens at 9pm tonight.

The French strike threatens to bring France’s railway system to a standstill from 7pm British time on Wednesday until 7am Friday.
Eurostar says it expects its services to operate normally during the industrial action but anyone with onward connections in France will be severely disrupted.
