A driver almost ploughed into shopfronts at Ashford Designer Outlet after "over-accelerating" in the car park.

The red Nissan Qashqai was left perched precariously on the concrete wall in front of Ben Sherman and Soletrader.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened just after 3pm yesterday.

Centre manager Peter Heritage said the driver "over-accelerated and mounted the pavement".

“Thankfully there were no injuries, and the site was cleared by the end of the day," he said.

Police did not attend.
