A driver narrowly escaped his vehicle before it burst into flames on the M20 this morning.
The car veered off the London-bound carriageway and caught alight following a crash involving one other vehicle.
Emergency services were called to the scene between junction 9 for Ashford and 8 for Leeds Castle just after 5.30am.
A police spokesman said: "Officers attended along with South East Coast Ambulance Service and Kent Fire and Rescue Service.
"One person was treated for injuries not believed to be life threatening and taken to a local hospital.
"One lane was closed while the vehicles were recovered. Officers were away from the scene at 6.50am."
Delays have now cleared.
