Drugs found in disused bunker at Folkestone barracks

Police have launched an investigation after the discovery of cannabis cultivation equipment at a disused bunker at Shorncliffe Barracks in Folkestone.

Police were alerted on Tuesday about a cable that had been attached to a street light in Horn Street.

The cable was traced back to the disused bunker where there was evidence that it had been used to supply power for the cultivation of cannabis.

Anyone with information or any suspicions about illegal drugs is asked to call officers on 01622 690690.
