Folkestone boss Neil Cugley says his side have achieved their aim for the season by securing a play-off place, but now they’re in it, they want to win it.
Invicta wrapped up fourth in Ryman League, Division 1 South with a 4-1 win at Chipstead on Saturday, finishing their regular season a week before the rest of the teams in the division.
They will travel to whichever team finishes third for the play-off semi-final on Tuesday night, with the final to follow the following Sunday, May 6.
Cugley said: "It is a great achievement for us to get into the play-off places. It was our aim this season to compete for the top five and either get in or get very close. We have done that, so whatever happens now is a bonus.
"We have won six games in a row and I think the squad is the best it’s been all season in terms of fitness and form. It’s all coming together at the right time."
Invicta must wait to see which of the top three they will face, with two points separating leaders Whitehawk from third-placed Bognor Regis. Dulwich Hamlet are second.
Cugley said: "If I had to choose I’d really like Bognor Regis, and it looks like we might get them. I think Whitehawk and Dulwich will probably win their final games.
"It would be a good game to watch, they are another good footballing side. It won’t be easy, but at this stage of the season you have got to beat the best."
