A RETIRED headmaster has been charged with two counts of gross indecency and two counts of indecent assault.

Nigel Weekes, 62, was arrested following inquiries by members of the Ashford Special Investigation Unit into incidents which are alleged to have occurred in the early 1980s at St Mary's primary school in Ashford.

Mr Weekes, of Quarry View, Singleton, Ashford, is due to appear before magistrates at Ashford on Thursday, April 25.
