Ashford: Police search A20 layby near Hothfield following "concerns for person's welfare"

Police and ambulance crews mounted an "extensive search" near the A20 following reports of concern for the welfare of a person.

Emergency services were seen gathered at a layby near Hothfield at around 5pm on Saturday.

A police spokesman said that despite scouring the area nothing was found.
