Fire crews have put out a blaze sparked by an extractor fan in a village home.
Firefighters were called to Saint Ambrose Green in Wye shortly after 5.30am today, after a woman reported seeing flames in the roof of a property.
They used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put out the fire, which is believed to have been caused by a fault within a bathroom extractor fan.
It had fallen from the ceiling into the bath, spreading the fire.
The bathroom and first floor had major smoke damage and the bath had a small amount of fire damage.
