Neil Cugley is challenging his Folkestone side to go on a memorable FA Trophy run to provide a welcome boost to the club’s coffers.
The purse strings are tight at Cheriton Road and bringing players in is a problem for Cugley.
However, a win against Ryman League Division 1 North side Thamesmead this weekend would be a welcome boost – both on and off the pitch.
"The Trophy is a big, big tournament," said Cugley. "We went out of the FA Cup early and this is our chance to go on a run.
"Saturday is worth £3,000 to us and it’s a big sum. We’re going to go all out for that win as the money is so vital.
"We’re not going to rest players as we can’t do that, we haven’t got a big enough squad.
"The league is always the priority but the Trophy is massive for the finances."
