An e-fit of a man police are hunting for in connection with a serious attack on a woman has been released.
Officers are hoping the image will jog the memory of anyone who was in Singleton, Ashford, around 10pm Wednesday night when the attack happened.
A 38-year-old woman was walking along Tithe Barn Lane, near Manorfield, when she was approached by a man.
He grabbed her handbag and in a bid to fight him off, she was punched in the face. He fled empty handed towards the Singleton Centre.
The man is thought to be about 25-years-old, around 5ft 10ins tall, and of slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with the hood up. He was also wearing pale jeans.
Det Insp Steve Bridges said: "This was a nasty assault which happened alongside a well-used road."
On Thursday night, exactly 24 hours on from the attack, officers stopped motorists traveling along Tithe Barn Lane.
