Another mystery object has been spotted in the sky above Ashford.
The circular orb, surrounded by a blue fire haze, was captured on camera over Singleton Lake, near where a series of flaming lights were seen hovering by others in August last year.
James Mangan, his wife Elizabeth and three children, Damian, 13, Shannon, 12, and Regan, six, only moved to Homestead, near the lake, just before Christmas from Kennington.
Last weekend he went outside as it got dark to take pictures of their snow-covered house and noticed nothing unusual. But when he saw the pictures he had just taken on his laptop screen, he was amazed to spot the unexplained image on just one frame.
Mr Mangan, 48, who works for a bank cleaning firm, said: “At first I thought it was the moon, so we went back outside again in the clear sky and found that the moon was on the opposite side of the house.
“I know nothing about UFOs but we find this single picture a mystery and there must be an explanation.”
What is known is that it appeared remarkably near the spot where model Jade Anthony made a similar sighting from her home in nearby Bullrushes last summer.
She and her friend Simon Lowe reported seeing two bright orange flaming lights, like small suns, that circled over the lakes before flying off towards the town centre.
They tracked the movement over neighbours’ rooftops for almost two minutes and there has never been an explanation as to what they were.
