A leaflet promoting a far-right political party has been left on a police van parked in Ashford town centre.
The BNP (British National Party) leaflet was discovered under the window wipers of the unoccupied Hawk Eye mobile CCTV unit in the High Street today.
The leaflet is promoting the BNP’s opposition to EU membership.
It is unclear how long the leaflet has been there, or who put it there.
Members of the police force are banned from becoming members of the party, which is led by Nick Griffin.
A spokeswoman for Kent Police said: "Leaflets advertising a range of organisations and services are from time to time put on the windscreens of police vehicles as they are with those belonging to members of the public. They are removed and put in the paper recycling bin."
