A Ferrari driver was taken to hospital after his car struck the Blue and White cafe on the A20 at Mersham.

The accident happened at 9.05am on Sunday and left a large hole in the wall of the building.

The car was virtually destroyed by the collision and caught fire.

The passenger in the Ferrari was uninjured.

Firefighters from Ashford were called to put out the fire in the car.
