Filthy sewage poured into a family home as heavy rain hit the county - destroying clothes, carpets and bedding.
Megan Deegan, who lives in Riverside, Wye, could only watch as the water burst into her house yesterday, covering the whole of the downstairs.
The 25-year-old – who lives with her mum, sister and step-dad – says the small made her feel sick.
She said: “It's the worst it has ever been - we've had floods before but the water didn’t go above ankle length before.
“We have got a horrible sewage smell and it's made everything that we've saved smell disgusting.
“We've had to throw away lots and lots of things.”
Miss Deegan lives on the ground floor of the property.
She added: "We had a big bit of wood in the door and we used it to try to keep the water out.
"It was more a foot deep in the garden.
"Flooding happens quite a lot but we've been up to the council but they won't prioritise unblocking the drains."
Elsewhere, the bad weather also destroyed a gazebo in Singleton – just hours after it had been put up.
Lucie Vasselin had spent Saturday evening erecting the cover before it was struck by lightning.
Other items including a barbecue, garden table and even a cast iron chimenea were also sent flying across the garden.
