Traders are making their final preparations for New Romney’s late-night shopping event.
Shoppers will be given the chance to snap up Cheristmas presents on their doorstep and support local businesses on Tuesday December 13.
The High Street will be illuminated with Christmas lights, the mayoress will judge the window competition and there will be music to shop to.
The band of New Romney Sea Cadets will be playing in the High Street, there will be carol singers, and Father Christmas has promised to make a visit.
The town hall will be open to visitors from 6pm.
The Mayor of New Romney Cllr Roger Joynes said: “It is important that the council works with residents and businesses, all the more so in this difficult climate. The lights are an attribute to the town and part of the council’s commitment to improving the area during the festive season.”
Cllr Patricia Rolfe said: “The fact that such a large and diverse number of organisations and businesses have contributed to this project demonstrates New Romney’s strong community spirit.”
Sponsors of the lights included the town and district councils, Energy Solution at Dungeness A Station, Oak Hall Surgery and 25 businesses in the High Street.
