Four fire engines and a height vehicle attended reports of a fire at a hospital.
Crews were called at 3.27pm yesterday to William Harvey Hospital in Kennington Road, Ashford.
It was found to be a false alarm as smoke that had been seen turned out to be caused by a machine which overheated.
Crews removed the machine and ventilated the premises.
No injuries were reported and crews left at 4.08pm.
