Fire crews rescue man trapped in wreckage after crash in Folkestone

Fire crews were called out to rescue a man trapped in his car following a crash in Folkestone on Sunday night.

The incident happened at about 11pm on Churchill Avenue when the car left the road and hit trees. One person managed to get out of the car while two crews from Folkestone cut the other out using hydraulic equipment.

Police and an ambulance crew also attended. Both driver and passenger were taken to hospital.

The road remained closed for about two hours.
