Fire crews have been praised for stopping a blaze which could have gutted a scout hut.
Teenagers were spotted setting alight a bush close to Willesborough scout hut in Breadlands Close, Ashford this afternoon.
Crews were called at about 12.30pm.
Posting on Facebook, concerned resident Vicki Kidney said: "Many thanks to Ashford fire brigade for their extremely prompt response to the fire set by teenagers in the bushes surrounding the Willesborough scout hut.
"It could've been so much worse - one spark and the scout hut would be burnt to the ground, causing much distress."
