A man was taken to hospital after he was rescued from his car by firefighters.

Crews freed the man from the vehicle that had ended up in a field in Ruckinge, near Ashford after a single car crash at about 10.40am today.

They used stabilisers to support the car, which then allowed the male driver to climb from the car.

He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital but the extent of his injuries are not yet known.

No one else was injured.
