Fire crews were called to a driveway behind Hinges and Brackets in Whitfeld Road in the early hours of this morning.

Teams tackled the 12ft flames of a work vehicle that was parked behind the ironmongers at around 3am.

A local resident alerted the emergency services when he noticed the flames from his house.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances and called police to the incident.

The company vehicle was completely destroyed in the fire.

It is not yet known how the fire started and luckily, no one was injured.
