Heavy traffic on M20 between junction 9 for Ashford and junction 8 for Leeds Castle due to broken down lorry

Traffic was queuing for seven miles on a motorway due to a broken down lorry.

The vehicle was on the London bound carriageway of the M20 between Ashford and Maidstone.

Motorists traveling between junction 9 Fourgeres Way and junction 8 for Leeds Castle faced delays of roughly 20 minutes.

The lane which was closed as a result of the broken down vehicle has reopened and traffic has now returned to normal.
