JOHN Devenport collected five top awards at Ashford Quest Photographic Society's annual dinner and awards ceremony.
Mr Devenport took not only the Colourscope Cameras overall winners' trophy but also the AKCC trophy for division one prints, the Janet Morris Memorial Shield for record photography, the John Wigmore rural landscape cup and the Neville Marsh trophy for exhibition slides.
John Woodward also had an excellent year. Mr Woodward won the Ken Masters shield for division three slides, the J Heritage shield for division three prints and the Tony Culver portrait group trophy. He was runner-up to Mr Devenport for the overall winners' trophy and for the chairman's salver.
No-one was more surprised than John's husband, Katrina, when it was announced she had won the Douglas Weaver trophy for endeavour. The result of this award is kept secret until the night.
