Neil Cugley has told star striker Stuart King he needs to be more consistent if he wants to play at a higher level.

Folkestone Invicta boss Cugley believes King (pictured) has the talent to move on so it’s a big season coming up for the man who topped the Ryman League Division 1 South scoring charts with 25 goals last term.

Cugley said: "Kingy won the golden boot and was named in the team-of-the-year but if he wants to put himself in the shop window he’s got to show he can do it again.

"He needs to be more consistent. He could look good when someone watched him one week, then the next week he’d have a quiet game.

"If he keeps working hard and scoring goals, I’m sure he’ll get the chance to move on because he has the ability.

"I signed him on a two-year deal and I’d be very disappointed if we don’t get a good offer for him by the time that’s up.

"I wouldn’t want to stand in his way if the right club came in."
