Folkestone Invicta’s pre-season schedule is starting to take shape.

Invicta, newly promoted to Ryman League Premier Division, will host last-season’s champions Dartford in their opening game at the Buzzlines Stadium on Saturday, July 24.

Three days later, they welcome local rivals Ashford in an evening game before a trip to Lordswood the following Saturday.

After a week’s break, they travel to Leatherhead on Saturday, August 7, before a Tuesday night game at home to Ramsgate, a trip to Whitstable Town and a Monday night game at Chatham, five days before the season starts on August 21.

Invicta have also approached Gillingham for a friendly and are waiting to hear back from new boss Andy Hessenthaler.

Folkestone boss Neil Cugley revealed he is enjoying a quiet summer on the transfer front so far.

He said: "It could well be that we start the new season in pretty much the same shape. We don’t have a lot of money to throw around."
