Ashford resident and ex-England footballer Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock wed his fiancee Leah Newman in a lavish ceremony in Ashford yesterday.

Surrounded by their celebrity friends and their family, the pair, who have two children, tied the knot at the Eastwell Manor hotel in Boughton Lees.

Among the guests were TV personality Rylan Clark and former EastEnders' actress Gillian Taylforth, who Razor met when he appeared in last year's series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Ahead of the nuptials Rylan, who shot to fame in TV's X Factor, tweeted his excitement saying: "Today's the day.. Daddy gets married!! And I'm the ring bearer! @RealRazor@missrazorrud xxxxx"

Forty-four-year-old Razor, who has played for both Liverpool and Spurs, lives in Kingsnorth in Ashford and attended The North School.
