Kent Police make fourth arrest following assault in Stanhope Road, Ashford

A fourth suspect has been arrested following a disturbance.

Police were called to a playing field in Stanhope Road, Ashford on Tuesday evening, where two men had suffered arm and hand injuries.

The victims, both in their 20s, were taken to hospital for further treatment.

Officers carried out a number of inquiries in the area, and arrested three teenagers from Ashford, aged 18 and 19, on suspicion of assault.

At around 5.30pm yesterday, a fourth suspect from Ashford, aged 19, was arrested. He has been released on bail until Saturday, April 20.

Detective Inspector Keith Taylor said: "We believe there were a number of people at the scene during the disturbance who may have witnessed the assaults take place and could have information to assist our investigation.
