Kent Police hunt gang of eight after Ashford assault

A gang of eight men are wanted by police after an assault that saw a teenager taken to hospital.

Police descended on the South Willesborough area of the town at 2.15pm and closed off the road.

It is believed that the teenagers were assaulted during a disturbance involving two groups in parkland near Herbert Road.

One was taken to the William Harvey Hospital where he was treated for a hand injury.

The suspects are described as a group of up to eight men of Asian appearance wearing hooded tops, said police, and one may have had a scooter with him.

A police spokesman said: "Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area and wish to thank those witnesses who have already spoken to police."
